As Christians, we’re expected to grow in different ways. More than anything, we’re asked to become more like Christ. We’re his ambassadors.
Jesus was fully man and fully man – not 50% of each. He was 100% man and 100% God. That’s tough to process.
We will never be free of sin. As much as we turn from sins and tell Jesus how much we love him, we’ll mess up in how we think, what we say and what we do.
But Jesus is our model. We have many ways to be like him – in our attitudes, our compassion, our willingness to forgive, our prayer life and more. Do we need to get an A or at least a C? Neither. There is not a scoreboard. We either owned up to our sins, repented and fell in love with Jesus or we didn’t. After that, we’re just a work in process.
